European Union Referendum - In or Out??
FT are reporting that the Tories are looking at ripping up the 48 hr week and are going to look at breaks, overtime, pay and holidays etc. It's going to mean a bonfire of workers rights and protections. What next? Health and Safety? Scrapping the minimum and living wage?

Much more to come than that from these fascists Jim and I'm awaiting the expected attacks on devolution even though we're are still embroiled in a pandemic crisis - that doesn't matter to these shameless c####, very Trump-like in its deployment!! I hate them with a passion, the same as with Trump!! Their politics and disregard for the welfare and well-being of people are so similar and despicable - it's all about them and their little tribe of elite and wealthy backers!!Thumb down

It's beyond brazen now though, they know whatever they do they can wrap it in a Union Jack and 40% of the public will vote for them and it's a certain win with FPTP. It's trump all over again of course, but the Americans actually stand a chance of changing their governing party.

I note the fishing federations (key supporters of Brexit) scathing letter to the government about the Scottish seafood debacle, and the DUPs Paisley Jr's unprecedented attack on Boris today about the NI protocol.....They will literally xxxx over anyone.

What is the situation with NI after Brexit? In all the political crap over here I can't recall how that ended up.

They still have a virtual border in the middle of the Irish Sea SCO and, as Michael Gove brazenly said a while ago, they have the "best of both worlds", a special case - still in the single market but they also trade with the UK as part of this precioussssss union. As Jim says - even Paisley junior isn't enamoured with the disruptive protocol, something he and his cohorts never expected. I loved Paisley's description of Johnson as losing all status as a PM with any kinda proper standing in UK politics, a minion! Last week I listened to that senior Tory, Chris Patten (ex Hong Kong governor in the 1990s) on the radio describing Johnson as being NOT A CONSERVATIVE AT ALL BUT THE LEADER OF THE ENGLISH NATIONALIST PARTY. Powerful stuff coming from one Tory who clearly has no time for this PM either.

Basically northern irelands businesses and ports are to all extents still in the EU and following single market regulations.

Once it became clear Trump was done for Bojo was always going to cave to the EU.

EU fund to be replaced by the UK shared prosperity fund in the Tories continued attack on devolution.

The NI "double standards" will certainly be their undoing up here in Scotland - so much for equal partners in this preciousssss Union!!Thumb down It's a pity that the push/campaign for Scotindy isn't "up n running" properly because that should be the main clarion call re NI's privileged status while Scotland had an even greater vote to reject Brexit in any form and that opposition is reckoned to have currently risen to over 70% of the Scot voting population. Add in the fact that the Tories and this fascist Brit govt are the enemies of Scotland and Scot interests and values - only one way to go!!

This mob are the enemies of Englands interests too, but the people down south just haven't woke up to that fact yet.
