European Union Referendum - In or Out??
Yep! He is just one of millions n millions of "casualties" who have been and will be "sucked in to this shameless act of economic suicide".
Last night I briefly scanned the Edinburgh skyline after the defining Brexit time of 11.00pm and I caught one prob celebratory firework display - that says it all esp when observing the numerous midnight 2021 fireworks activities across the city. Meanwhile it looks like support for Scot independence has "jumped" again - prob the next wave of support as a section of the "middle ground" of Scot voters are now "wising up" to the Westminster bullshit/deceptions/double standards (eg Northern Ireland's different status in this Brexit deal compared with Scotland, a sovereign country that had a bigger majority vote against Brexit!!!!!!??) and jingoism that will not go away any time soon.

Most hauliers still not taking “groupage” (multiple products from different companies in one load). Bureaucracy too complex & IT system inadequate. A few started again yesterday, but v. small volumes. So currently the road to EU market is now blocked for many food exporters. In particular seafood.

A lot of the fish prices at peterhead market yesterday fell by 80%

Yep! And note a lotta providers of perishable goods have stopped the haulage because of the probs they've experienced and losing "shed loads" of money in the process. I wonder if they can be compensated for this shambles because the Brit govt/Tory party has been well n truly at the forefront of this sham for years.

Many fishing boats in the South of Scotland not going to sea, because there's no use in catching fish they can't sell.
Cabbage is still good for you

The Scottish seafood guys are going bankrupt. No doubt about it. Loch Fyne has just lost a 40k catch.
Blackford brought it up in the commons and boris just gave out his usual pish, he couldn't care less...... And it's not just in Scotland, the same thing is happening in Cornwall. The guy down there was saying the new "red tape" is costing them 5 to 600 quid a load. One consignment required 17 different attachments, so organising even the simple of loads has become a monumental pain in the arse.

But do remember it was all so simple this Brexit malarkey eh!! Thumb down A cynical political game full of lies and deceptions and with clear winners and losers. It was never as simple as all these RW charlatans had professed all these years ago and up to the current time.

Just heard the fisheries minister being asked about this and why she couldn't have warned the industry more and then her admitting she hadn't had time to read it because she was too busy organising her local nativity trail Laugh

They were warned often enough before re little lying weasels such as Gove conning them. Deja vu and the whining now coming from NE Scot fishermen follows all the naivety in embracing these charalatans for so long while ignoring the warnings from people within Scot govt and other Scot community circles to beware dealing with these lying bastards.

Another 'Brexit bonus' now is that even though the supermarket shelves in Northern Ireland are worryingly low with a lot of produce.... And the ulster loyalists now have it confirmed that boris has shat on them from a great height......But their fisherman CAN help themselves to Scotlands seafood and sell it direct to the European market if they fancy it.

Just listening to Ian Blackford on bbc Newsnight tonight "tearing strips" off this incompetent Tory govt after being told by some ill-formed auld Brexit Tory from the 1922 Committee that it was just "teething probs"!! Blackford shaking his head in utter disbelief and describing a dire situation in his "neck of the woods", up in the Western Isles, where all fishing boats/businesses are tied up with no access to the market that they had before 31 Dec 2020. Also iterating that the shellfish industry has been decimated because they are now having to freeze their catch which reduces their price by 80% - no longer a fresh delivery! What a shambles, a disgrace and it was predicted by many within the Scot govt as well as emphasising the final Brexit deal was never as good as the previous one!! Also slamming into Rees-Smug after his latest uncaring blase speech in the UK Parliament that "we got our fish back for Britain" - Blackford demanding his immediate apology to the fishermen up here in the north of Scotland.
