Anthony Hamilton withdrew from the competition last night due to health concerns. He's asthmatic and unhappy that there will be 300 spectators there. And he has a point. The players have been living in an eco bubble all during the qualifying rounds, but now they're letting Tom, Dick and Harry in. Also unhappy is Ronnie O'Sullivan. He says the players are being treat like lab rats.

And now, from tomorrow there won't be any spectators at the Crucible. Which is a bit of a kick in the teeth for the poor old Sheriff of Pottingham.

Bingham on fire this morning. Won all four in the first session, three of them Carty didn't pot a ball, and he leads 9-4.

Tea break came at the wrong time. He's gone to pieces.
9-7 now. Commentator just called it a thriller.

Bingham blaming the table for missing a black.
If the crowds had been in, he'd have possibly blamed a member of the audience.
I can't do with this sort of pish from a player.
He's had a storming start. The table was fine then. You're just having a good old wobble.
