Dundee finally get the message and the lower leagues in Scotland are called as placings stand. Dundee Utd, Raith Rovers and cove rangers all confirmed champions.
Queen Anne gets thrown a bone in trying to sort out league reconstruction. Good luck with that, she will be the only premiership rep who will be interested. They need a 11/1 split remember.
The SPFL board might be useless but they have done her up like a kipper.

I would imagine the TV companies would only be interested in being able to show at least 4 Celtic v Rangers games in a season. A bigger Premiership would make that unlikely, so less TV money would make most clubs poorer.

League reconstruction isnt something you can rush through it's something that would have to be discussed over say a year, cant just do it to appease certain teams that deserve to be relegated, also certain teams in our top league rely on the income of big away supports, you take that away and they go bust, simply not logical for these clubs to vote it through.

I love this argument some clubs are coming out with that no one should be penalised because of COVID, yet in the real world that's not how its worked out is it ?. Queen Anne is still struggling away, she has at least dropped the legal action threats and is now beavering away on a plan where the rest of the SPFL pick up the tab for hertz staying up. I do not xxxx think so!
Thats what this moving to a 14 team set up with no relegation this season is about. Saving their arse while other clubs share the financial burden. The nerve of that boot is incredible.
Meanwhile I noticed Dundee's vote was sent by the secretary from his home and private email account. Hmmmm.

Club Statement
April 16, 2020 / Football
By way of further explanation of our statement from 15 April, Dundee FC submitted its vote to the SPFL and issued its statement simultaneously. There was no changing of our vote at any time that day as has been reported in some channels.
If what we achieved in our pause was presented by the SPFL in the first instance we would have voted in favour of the proposal on 10 April 2020.
We have achieved the best deal possible out of a situation that was going to be bad for us in any iteration that was being proposed. Let us be clear, no matter what the proposal looked like, the majority of the clubs in the Premiership and the Championship are proponents of promotion/relegation. Any solution that did not include this would not have enough support to be passed. Therefore the SPFL chose to include it to expedite the conclusion, but without considering the ramifications to all clubs.
Most importantly for Dundee FC, we spoke to other member clubs regarding their appetite for reconstruction, as the SPFL’s briefing notes did not give us much of a chance. This is the only aspect of any proposal that helps Dundee FC in any way.
As stated yesterday, reconstruction could help ensure the future of Scottish Football as a sustainable and profitable one. There are several things that have to be in place to achieve this new foundation for our sport. First, a working group should be assembled and must have members from the highest levels of Scottish Football. They must possess a long-term interest in the future success of the game. Second, we must agree a set of goals that will be the basis of reconstruction. These goals should take into account current and future wants and needs of media, member clubs’ financial benefits, and sporting integrity as a basis. After speaking to numerous clubs we believe that the appetite for reconstruction is there and the intention is to establish an immediate and focused working group to take on this task. We stated that the SPFL will have to accept and support the will of the members. As you saw in the SPFL statement last night, they already have started this process.
In conclusion, from a very poor situation we have gotten the best result for Dundee FC and for Scottish Football as a whole. Of 42 teams, 35 have voted yes in a democratic ballot and for most, the important thing is the monies can be distributed and they can work on survival plans for their clubs. It is time now to return our focus on staying safe and planning for the future of Dundee FC.
Seems to suggest that clubs wont vote reconstruction unless relegations stand....
Bye Hearts.

I think Hertz should be relegated anyway for a blatant breach of sporting integrity! Desperate and "looking for a life line" come to mind!

Sevco statement another masterclass in saying nothing. They know it's over.
Accusations of corruption but no evidence forwarded. Clearly bringing the game into disrepute. They can slag off the SPFL for not providing enough information on the vote all they like - one of their own directors sits on the SPFL board.!!! They want a 'forensic investigation'..... they should focus that on their collapse in form since January.
Looks like they now want to play the games despite saying they wouldn't entertain closed door games and tearing up their pitch the other week......even though the huge majority of clubs have accepted the league is over..... But no, now they want to risk people lives on the faintest of hopes of stopping Celtic. They are a disgusting stain of a club. Just xxxx off and die.

RFC just confirming again what we have observed for years!! And some of their fans would like to transfer to English footie?? I don't think the FA would be fooled re ever considering such a folly to be landed with such a toxic footie club!
