European Union Referendum - In or Out??
The "clock is already ticking" for Johnson and his RW Tory chums and, in fact, he has a countdown clock located at no 10 - no coincidence!! I reckon he is "going through the motions" of "sounding out" political opponents who he knows are not gonna budge on an issue that has already been "thrashed out" after months n months of debate and negotiation. Parliament is gonna be the big hurdle that will "make him or brake him"!! I pray that somehow "Steve Bannon's disciples" are defeated and that finally sends out a strong message that the democratic process and common sense are not well n truly dead.

So this bunch of unelected Tory extremists definitely planning to suspend parliament from mid-September and confirming that we are looking at a tin-pot dictatorship akin to some S American lawless country - a shocker and clearly a stand-off between govt and parliamentary opponents with Johnson (and that creepy Cummings character definitely dictating this crass but cunning move!!) cutting the time for MPs to do anything apart from initiating a "no confidence" vote which is highly precarious with Corbyn in place as leader of the Labour Party. All opposition parties need to "galvanise" quickly and stop the bickering. I briefly watched Johnson's live speech on the bbc and the absolute brazen cheek of this guy coming over as some move of good governance, rather than "chancing it"!! THIS COUNTRY IS IN CRISIS and you'd never think so if you listened to Johnson's comments - all clever "spin" and a deliberate ploy to shut down the democratic process!! WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! I notice the parliamentary Speaker, Bercow, "entering the fray" and calling it a "constitutional outrage"! Is it time to head for London to demonstrate in our millions NOW even before this move is formally confirmed!!!???? I think it is!!

If the Benn Bill gets royal assent which it should do unless Johnson advises her to not sign it, then Boris Johnson will have to go to the EU and ask for an extension till January 31st 2020 but that depends on all 27 EU countries agreeing to an extension, as it stands France have said they will veto an extension which means we would fall out of the EU by default with no deal, unless the EU give us an extension for another referendum or revoke Article 50.

Pure conjecture this Government looking for loopholes in Benn’s Bill they won’t find any unless they have planted in there. By mistake due to the absence of tellers on Thursday the Kinnock Amendment was added to the Bill, shortly afterward the Filibuster in the Lords stopped and the Bill was rushed through the Lords with little scrutiny.
The vast majority of opinion think this will not make a difference apart from one or two which think it will cause a significant impingement.
The Amendment incorporates May’s 575 page Withdrawal Agreement.
According to a lord Callahan, the Amendment was confusingly worded contrary to the aims of the Bill and legally inoperable.
As I said all conjecture as is this opposition won’t call a Vote of Confidence nothing to stop Boris though.
Possibly called this week 14 days to find alternative however can’t be formed as Parliament is poroged therefore General Election 15/10/19

Royal Assent to the HB bill will almost certainly be completed within the next few hours according to royal sources. Re Macron's understandable opposition to an extension, I reckon he will be influenced by other EU associates to "come round" to accepting another extension. The reason for that "about turn"? There is a lotta vested interest amongst EU member states as well as in France itself and I think common sense will prevail. The UK parliament is suspended tonight and that is as much of a huge issue IMO, an absolute disgrace where it is clear that certain parliamentary rules and legislation relative to the constitution and democratic process require to be amended and make them "fit for purpose" for governance in the 21st century, not the 19th century.

Yep! As asserted in my previous thread but the Speaker, John Bercow, standing down and stating the date as 31 Oct and explaining why and subtly "putting the boot" into the fascist Tory bully boys and ensuring that a new experienced Speaker will be chosen by parliamentarians after Lizzie's speech but before 31 Oct and not by any bullish govt - absolutely priceless speech!! I also notice the timing of Bercow's announcement with Johnson "in absentia" - no coincidence!

In order to have an agreement like boris is talking up today in dublin you have to have a backstop/customs union, or give up sovereignty over Northern Ireland. Both of which are not acceptable to the Brexiters. The only options left are no-deal Brexit, or Remain. END..

Back home meanwhile we are witnessing the hostile takeover of the conservative party by nigel farage.

They have no majority so blowjo wont be choosing the next speaker.

And also timed with the royal assent of the benn bill. Nice touch.
