Chile’s goalkeeper is very impressive. She has made some great saves against the Americans.

Consistency is a must if VAR is to work. Without it,  it's pointless.

Whoever handed out ill luck to any of the competing women's footie team's , Scotland was top of the list and it looks like 2 x highly questionable "dodgy" PKs will "kill off" any Scot aspirations to progress to the "round of 16", a "sickener" for a bunch of lassies who are trying their best to qualify but discovering that VAR and certain incidents are still down to officials' interpretation that has many of us "scratching our heads" in bemusement!! I hope the Scottish players somehow "get a break" and overcome Argentina in their final group match as well as other results elsewhere favouring their progress!! They are not gonna win this tourney but still deserve to at least progress to the next round, a "big ask" all the same.

Ahaaah! A "ray of hope" for the Scot women!! Scotland 3 Argentina 0 with 15 mins remaining and a great possibility of the first Scotland footie team ever qualifying into the WC "round of 16" on a best 3rd spot rating!! Fingers crossed and hopefully Lady Luck "favours the brave"!!

Jeezzz!! You couldn't make it up and the irony is that both these sides have prob not qualified esp Scotland due to a VAR system that has indeed shat on these lassies!! I can't believe how they imploded after holding a 3-0 lead!! This is another Scotland tragedy that is very hard to take!!

If VAR is being used in this way at penalty kicks, when we get a shoot out, it will take forever.
Stupid new rules are ruining the game. Pointless tinkering.

Imagine the Scotland women's dressing room after this distressing result and esp after their positive display up to about the 75min mark!!? The tears will be flowing after another VAR "kick in the teeth!! My heart bleeds for these ladies who really tried so hard to create a piece of their own history in this WC tourney!! Dreadful!

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but this enforcement of the rule that the goalkeeper must keep one foot on the line until the ball is stuck seems like something deliberately being targeted by officials, which in turn means it will be a directive from FIFA. The precedent was set with the France penalty and so as a consequence goalkeepers have to be aware that it will be reviewed going forward!!! Over here the panel slammed the Scottish coach for the tactics they employed and for the fact that someone wasn't reminding the keeper not to leave her line!!

Heartbreaking for the Scottish ladies but the damage was done before the penalty, they just imploded as a team!! You could see how distraught many of them were afterwards, sad to see but they couldn't hold that lead in the end.

There's a still frame shot showing that the keeper may just have a fraction of a millimetre of heel still on the line. Same with the Nigerian keeper the other night.
Again, if we're insisting on using VAR, it has to be right. There aren't enough cameras to justify this one.
And another thing, why have they brought these new rules in now? These things should be introduced in pre season friendlies, not in a major tournament.
