European Union Referendum - In or Out??
Looks like another sad moment again for 1000s of British workers who just want the company to sustain their needs by finding and winning orders.

No siree.

Sounds like it would have happened if we were in the EU or not. Turns out the Government isn't allowed to loan them the £30 million due to the EU and WTO having the same ruling. They stop a Government letting an industry fail and then swoop in and prop it up artificially.

Problem is I don't think the Tories care about the steel industry or any industry come to that, majority of British manufacturing has gone under or ceased to exist because in their eyes its cheaper to import or buy it from abroad.

The EU has 73% tariffs on Chinese Steel and the US has high tariffs on EU and Chinese steel but our Government voted against having high tariffs on Chinese steel.

Too many people will blame the EU and the EU hasn't really helped British manufacturing but the majority of the blame has to lie with the Tories.

Looks like May finally "on the brink" and could be out by next week when the negative impact of the Euro elections is realised. However, they'll need a caretaker PM and that will likely be the "eternal survivor", Theresa May lol!!

Disastrous results for the main 2 parties.

Some things to take away : Scotland is predominately progressive and liberal while England is disappearing up a insane, racist cut de sac.

The Labour Leadership effectively spoiled the vote of 80% of the people who took the time to vote for them at the GE by being opportunistic and lumping them in as 80% of people voting for Brexit.

There is no mandate for a hard Brexit even though one is being claimed by the usual suspects.

Also all devolved countries in the UK are pro EU nations and the proportionate counts up n down the country showed there are a majority of pro EU voters based on the total count of remain votes for different political parties!! Conclusion: we need another referendum to confirm that the remain vote predominates the argument and it not the other way round in the way that many Brexit backers are presenting it on the back end of Farage's BP success. The reality is he succeeded with 28 MEPs but there lotsa other pro EU MEPs. My one bugbear is that his crass politics "infected" Scotland insignificantly to gain 1 MEP and that is one shit MEP too many!!

Time to put Larry in charge of Brexit and the Country. I'd vote for him!

Boris Johnson has been summonsed to court over accusations of misconduct in office related to his comments in the build up to the 2016 Referendum.

Good luck Boris. Laugh

How sweet would it be if Boris became PM and was then barred from holding public office ? A man can dream.

The charge could result in a prison sentence if formally taken up in a court of law! We all know that won't happen but it would be great to see it being applied to a public accountable MP who brokered a total lie!! I'd love to see Farage and Banks "suffer the same fate" for crass public deception.

Car production plunged by nearly half in April as factories shut down to prepare for a Brexit date that never came, prompting renewed anguish from the UK motor industry at the “untold damage” done by prolonged uncertainty.

In a slump that the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) described as “extraordinary”, 70,971 vehicles rolled off the production lines in April, down 44.5% from 127,970 in the same month of last year.

Labour said the figures showed that the government’s “mishandling” of Brexit was already hurting carmakers, warning of further pain if the next Tory leader backs leaving the EU without a deal.
