After those council election votes the end is nigh for Corbyn. He either gets behind a fresh vote or his own voters and party will desert him.

The logjam in parliament cant be broken, the MPs don't want an election because they would rather have another couple of years of the gravy train.

Doesn't mean anything. These are local elections not National. People voted differently to what they would normally vote in a National election because they voted on local issues like bin collections and house building. Also with turnouts with 27%-33% it's not wholly representative.

The European elections in 3 weeks time will be the one's which will give a clear indication of what the people think on Brexit.

And May is up here in Scotland peddling her anti-indy poison with some really disrespectful and undemocratic comments (preaching to the masses, only they are not the massed ranks and never were!!) while I'm sure tomorrow's massed indy rally in Glesca will be suppressed again by the Tory/British govt with limited media coverage by the bbc and "other suspects" - an absolute disgrace and people in this country slag off Russia re this kinda stuff, a joke!!

You are deluding yourself matt, there was a big swing to the pro-remain parties. Tories and labour both did dreadful.

I'm not deluding myself. Local elections are local issues and anyone who voted in the Local elections as a protest vote against Brexit were silly because Local elections are more important than National elections because it's about issues which affect you in the area which you live.

As for the Lib Dems they are no better than the Tories and my generation will never forgive them for what they did either.

Gotta concur with that view re a poor regard re anything to do with the Libdems. Their attachment to a con man called Nick Clegg, with no forthcoming apology re so many unfulfilled promises and policies, will never be forgiven by many people in this country who are not as fickle as some of those local election voters who "gave them a political life line" or so they believe!!
