Nicola Sturgeon finally begins the process of separation!
Aye!!! In your opinion Saint Charles Owl - nice little argument but I totally disagree with it and I base that premise wholly on the disregard that has consistently been shown to the Scottish govt and the interests of the Scottish people - the contempt is breathtaking! Also Tory self-interest in their DUP alliance is self-explanatory and a big factor!! The sooner Scoyland can move for Scot indy, the better! We can finally get away from this kinda shit and "all the excuses under the sun" to deflect away from Scotland's real interests!!! Utter pish as usual and all under that shit "better together" banner!!! Nuff said!

“The Chief Minister has today confirmed in Parliament that Gibraltar could join the Customs Union as part of a ‘differentiated solution’ in the Brexit withdrawal agreement, meaning it would be more European than the UK.”

So let’s just update ourselves:

ENGLAND: voted Leave, getting what it wanted
WALES: voted Leave, getting what it wanted
NORTHERN IRELAND: voted Remain, getting special treatment
GIBRALTAR (with a population the size of Falkirk!!!!): voted Remain, getting special treatment
SCOTLAND: voted Remain, GETTING NOTHING!!

ISN'T IT GREAT BEING AN EQUAL PARTNER AS PREACHED BY ALL THOSE SHAMELESS "BETTER TOGETHER" UNIONIST CRETONS EH? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair they are getting special treatment because of the geography, not because they voted Remain!!  Both Gibralter and NI have a physical border with the EU, England, Scotland and Wales do not, that is the difference, not how they voted.  There is no need to give Scotland any special treatment, just like there isn’t a need to give Wales or England any special treatment with regards to borders.

Northern ireland is getting special treatment because the DUP are propping up mays turgid, rotten government and because its their only bargaining chip. Normally the english would not give a flying xxxx about NI. The DUP don't want NI treated any differently to the rest of the UK but the mental and political gymnastics required to make that happen will be potentially damaging to scotland and its business community. If a separate deal is on the table for one devolved administration (albeit one that isn't even working currently) it can certainly be in place for another.

The real problem for scotland actually goes beyond brexit now, we are tied the ankles of english nationalism currently. People who support the union with it's complete lack of safeguards for the 'equal' nations are going to have to wrap their heads around that eventually.

Its only heading one way and its going to get far worse before it gets better.

This Guardian article re May's brexit "predicament" is well worth a read and soon after her announcement that the "deal" was 95% complete, one part of that vitriol from within her own Tory party purporting that "she should be knifed from the front" for such a betrayal!!!??? Is this the "kill Jo Cox" mentality being exposed within the ranks of this horrible political party that calls itself conservative??? Absolutely outrageous but no surprise to me!!

Its been 95% complete for well over a year now.

The government is committed to having no hard border in Ireland and is also committed to rejecting all feasible means of avoiding one. Thats a big part of the 5%.

This latest Scot Tory request just "beggars belief". This is the same political party/govt that suppressed all information regarding Scotland's oil wealth for over 30 years - remember the McCrone report all these years ago!!? They demand?????? How dare they demand anything!!! This is a political party historically that can suppress certain secret info, that they don't want us to know about, for 100 years when it suits them and when the "tables are turned" they demand such info! I can recall a similar request by the SNP to reveal secret devolution files in 2013(?) but Westminster issued a refusal!! Also will we get the papers on how the Tories and Labour failed to get a Scotland deal over the Common Fisheries Policy or how they transferred 6000 square miles of Scottish waters to England just before devolution took place? F###### chancers and still preaching their shameless "better together" shit and "equal partners"! IMO there are still too many Scot voters who are not "waking up" to the reality of this unionist crap and they are as much a part of the problem up here!

NI is getting special treatment because it has a land border, not because of the DUP. May and the Tories are leading the negotiations because of the support she has from the DUP but even with that the solutions currently being looked at for NI are not to the liking of the DUP anyway. The EU themselves are pushing for NI to be a special case within the UK because of the land border and the ramifications of a hard border being put in place.

Out of curiosity, what special treatment do you want for Scotland? Our membership of the EU is based on the UK, not the individual entities within that, and so far aside from the land borders, the deal being negotiated is for the whole of the UK not for one country or another. "Better together" is neither here nor there in this one, it has to be done together, there is no other way to do this!! You say the interests of the Scottish people are being disregarded, well the interests of a lot of the UK population are being disregarded if this exit is allowed to go through.

Aye but we're back "full circle" to where you are being "corrected" again in the fact that Scotland is a country located in the UK and not a region as you have tried so hard to emphasise as part of your "better together" justification SCO!!!! There is a f###### difference but it is something you don't wanna recognise!!! And as for that "loaded" curious question, "What special treatment do you want"? Ehhhhh??? I think it is self-explanatory what is required but you clearly don't wanna recognise that pre-requisite either!! No other comment I'm afraid - no point!!! And btw the whole "better together" stance of 2014 is very relevant and as for that dismissive "neither here nor there"(?????) comment - give it a rest on the wind ups ehh and study all the shit that was uttered by the shameless unionist allied c#### who preached about it incl that mantra "EU membership will not be threatened" - only one of many lies that one could list in detail as part of the "huge lie" that was "better together" alongside it's partner, "Project Fear"!! All utter crap!!

I have no better together justification or stance for that matter, thats up to the people of Scotland. As regards the word country, I used that because you chastised me the last time I referred to Scotland as a region!!! But time after time you say that you want Scotland to be given special treatment but there is no reason nor mechanism for that to happen within the context of Brexit!! You can shout all day for the lack of special treatment or even equality during the next independence referendum but for the purposes of Brexit its all about the UK, and that goes for the EUs stance as well as the UKs, thats what the "neither here nor there" comment was about. This process has nothing to do with independence for Scotland, so again I ask under the UKs negotiations with the EU for Brexit what special treatment should Scotland get??

Oh please. Of course there is a land border with the EU but the backstop only becomes an issue because the UK cant find a solution to the border off their own backs. Which they cant because of the DUP. Any special treatment will have to be on their terms (not northern irelands despite their border counties all voting remain) or they will sink the tories budget. If that wasn't the case may would have caved in at salzburg.

You are mistaken about the EU as well, leaked papers show they are more than prepared to offer scotland a separate deal but it would require willingness on behalf of westminster to make that happen. But anyhow i'll take 'special treatment' in the form of the return of ALL our 100 plus EU/devolved related powers back at holyrood and regulatory alignment of the same kind being proposed for NI... If they get it.

Willingness on behalf of Westminster - ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Not a f###### chance with these unionist clowns who are obsessed with holding back Scotland's powers!!! I'll add that you listen to the consistent comments of Ian Blackford, the SNP leader at Westminster, SCO before continuing with an implicit message that you don't actually wanna see Scotland being given that special treatment anyway because "everybody is in the same 'better together' boat"!!! Aye! That'll be right but that's your opinion!!
