Former Scotland defender Gordon Greer has been released by Kilmarnock.
The 37-year-old has agreed to cancel his Rugby Park deal by mutual consent, 12 months after returning to the club for a second stint.
Greer first joined Killie in 2003 and spent four years in Ayrshire before moving south for spells with Swindon and Brighton, where his form saw him rewarded with 11 international caps.
He was lured back to the club at the start of last season by former boss Lee McCulloch but made just 11 appearances for current manager Steve Clarke.
A statement on Kilmarnock’s official website said: “Kilmarnock Football Club can confirm Gordon Greer has departed the club by mutual consent.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Gordon and wish him well for the future.”
In total, he departs having registered 140 appearances for Killie.
