There would have been uproar if we had sold any of our better players while we still thought we had a chance of going up. So much is going to depend on how Jos sets us up, if he goes with 3 at the back then our midfield might just be ok, if he sticks just 4 in midfield then I think we will struggle with what we have.

Problem is the wages the players are on. DC negotiated the contracts, other teams just cant or wont pay the money they are on. That was the problem with the proposed Fletcher move to Greece, his agent wanted 1.5m euros a season while the Greek club would only offer 500,000 a season.

Are we deliberately trying to commit suicide?
We have signed ZERO players, have passed on a few, and are now thinking of parting with the only player who can excite people, turn a game.
Meanwhile, other clubs are strengthening their squads.
I fear a relegation fight is on the cards.

No we are not trying to commit suicide, we did that 2 years ago when we let Carlos become the sole person looking at players after the play off defeat against Hull. That season we signed too many players on high wages or high transfer fees that in hindsight didn't really add to the team in terms of quality. The price of that season is now being realized in the form of hitting the FFP ceiling this season unless we shed wages and bring in some transfer money. I can easily see us not signing anyone before the season starts and maybe losing one or two of the first team to close the gap to be able to stay within FFP.
The only saving grace we have is that the team that struggled against a possible relegation scrap last season was essentially our second string side and once we got a few of the regulars back from injury we looked a very different side. We have to hope that Jos is able to get more out of the injured players who are now fit than he was out of the second string. As I said earlier, we have a core of a dozen or so players who are more than capable of holding their own in this league and if by any chance Jos can get anything positive out of Matias or Abdi or any of the youngsters he has in the squad then I believe we will be nowhere near relegation but I cannot see us challenging at the top either without a hefty slice of luck!! Having said that Huddersfield and Cardiff both went up with squads that on paper weren't better than ours is now, but they had team tactics and an ethos from the managers that gave them the edge, we have to hope Jos can deliver that for us or else it will be midtable at best. Its going to take a couple of seasons to fix what was done wrong but we should come out of that with a better structure corporately, more understanding for DC and a playing structure that is sustainable.

Looks like 442 or 352/532 if Hutch plays in defence.

I'm on about Leicester blatantly sticking two fingers up to the rules and I would be even if it was another clubs player they'd pulled this trick with. It stinks but they will get away with it and set a precedent for other clubs to do the same and starve lower league clubs of even more cash because they obviously need it more.
and complicated

Completely agree Maddix!! There is nothing we can do about this except watch a couple of million quid disappear across the channel!! Leicester have broken no rules, thats the problem, there has to be protection for teams bringing youngsters through the ranks or whats the point in having an academy in the first place?? These rules exist in England, which is why Leicester has engineered this move for Hirst so that they can get around not having to pay us any money!! Its the greed league in all its glory!!
