see you in the supreme court Theresa.

After her meeting with Erdogan yesterday, May announced she was keen to strike a trade deal with Turkey.

That is almost certain to require free access to the UK for Turkish citizens. Like bojo was telling everyone would happen when turkey got in the EU, even though that was a complete lie.

You couldn't make this shit up.

Haven't seen any news articles on this meeting but why would a trade deal involve free access to the UK for Turkish citizens?  Are there any trade seals that include the free movement of people anywhere currently??

I'm going by comments the turkish prime minister made last month in ankara. India has also said its going to be looking for far increased levels of immigration in return for a trade deal.

This kinda labour support on ships goes back decades n decades as I can recollect nationalities predominantly from the Phillipines and Indonesia during my time dealing with oil freight activities for North Sea ops - never changed and no surprise on the impact of tough immigration policies on this industry. Again the Scottish govt have got it right with the justified criticism of Home Office activities like this one on various industries up here! It is another 'power' that we should be adopting but IMO just 'push on' with our campaign for proper home rule and ultimately Scottish Independence.

Rumour going around that if we do stay in the EU it won't be on same terms. We might be asked to join the Euro, accept the Schengen area and not get a rebate. Which is a worse deal than what we had before if that happens. It's an absolute ****show. Looking at it Cameron really ****** the country up and then didn't want to deal with the mess so walked away.

He was your usual tory, self serving dickhead who threw the UK under the bus to save his own position. No one should be surprised, its what the tories do.

What is amazing is just how many of the English actually vote for these bastards.

What is the source of this "rumour" ?

We have triggered article 50 and are leaving the EU. If we want back in at some future point of course its going to be on xxxx different terms Laugh Laugh The EU aren't going to hold the door open for us,they are already moving on. They are following our instruction.

The governments position is that everything is going to carry on as normal plus extra milk and honey trade deals is clearly bollocks. Even they don't believe it. The EU have told them the 2 options they are debating on customs union are "unworkeable" and "fantasy".

No businessman, moderate or sane person would countenance this now with what we have seen. A 2nd referendum at the end of the process is just and fair. Half of the shit the tories are trying to pull was not on the voting card,or discussed in the campaign.

Read in the paper that if we decide to stay that we might have to renegotiate a new deal instead of going back to the original deal we had before. If we do re-enter the EU in a few years time we will have a completely different deal than what we had before.

Come out today that we have to pay the £39 billion upfront before trade talks can begin, and technology based customs system could cost Britain £20 billion when we already have a deficit of £6.2 billion.

No Deal = 2.8 million unemployed = loss of £99 billion a year

Trade agreement (outside the single market) = 1.75 million unemployed = loss of £99 billion a year

Soft Brexit (Single market & Customs Union) = 700,000 unemployed = loss of £39 billion a year

and if we Remain we will have no job losses and no loss of £s per year.

Well the easy option is there for all to see and one wonders why so many people in this country ever went near a brexit vote!? One big reason is simply being duped and the omission of so many issues that were so important and relevant to the reasoning of why we should remain with the EU - an absolute 'sickener' to millions of British voters watching these shameless Tory and UKIP ##### being given a political platform to peddle their shit and still doing it even after being 'found out'!! Thumb down

Seriously why would anyone think we would be entitled to the same deal after leaving the EU ? The rebates and the opt outs the EU granted the UK were given to keep us in the union, they are no longer valid. It's all moot anyway because when we are out we will be staying out, until people wake the xxxx up.

20 billion a year for that farcical customs union model ? - £13 billion EU membership costs = £7 billion.

That's about 135 quid a head to working british people. And for what? So rees mogg and his pals can get even richer ? And don't forget the billions a year to stay in eurotom etc., the loss of a free market of over half a billion people on our doorstep. The huge drop in foreign investment that's already happening according to carney and the bank of England. All because some gammon faced, daily mail reading xenophobes believed a lot of lies about the EU,and wanted blue passports and less eastern Europeans on their high street.

One other thing to consider is once the EU food and environment regs get dumped and trump pounds us with the resulting "America first" trade deal, i can see a scenario of "scotch" whiskey being made in Kentucky to wash down our chlorinated chicken in our overpolluted gardens. And I can definitely the American companies having a field day with the NHS.

"the will of the people" ? Was it xxxx.
