We won that game 4-0, so better than Liverpool managed last night!!!! Gerry Young got a hat trick, bet that didn't happen very often. Lost the return leg 1-0 so went through on aggregate. Played Barcelona in the next round and beat them 3-2 in the home leg before losing 2-0 in Spain. In the first round we beat Lyon 7-6 on agg, winning the ho,e leg 5-2!!! Wouldn't you just love to have games like that these days!!

Pei, do you remember these games, reckon your the only one old enough to possibly have been there!!!

well done to the under 23s who are to be crowned if we get a 1pt on friday at home to burnley ! back to back champions and we now have a manger who regognises young talent so we might be onto something good in a few years ..

Rangers won’t get anywhere until they take on board a huge slice of reality as to where they truly are!! Their expectations are way too high, they consistently talk about catching and overhauling Celtic, thats like us chasing Man City!!!! Celtic are way ahead of the rest of Scottish football and while Rangers might be the only team that could potentially challenge them, that is still many years away. They need to reduce the expectations, they need to focus on 2nd place and look to have some success in Europe, then maybe one day they can catch Celtic if Celtic screw up.

Gerrard would be a fool to take this job as his first position, just don’t see them getting their act together and their fans will just raise the expectations even more with Gerrard going there as a big name!! As Stateside said, they haven’t got a pot to piss in, are always on the verge or another administration event and have a completely fractured dressing room. There is no war chest as the board has referred to so its going to be a rough ride for whoever takes it!!
