Not sure it is that obvious. I think CC was maybe part of it but I still think this one was DC after Hirst wouldn't go on loan or sign a new contract. I think this maybe shows that we have 2 new figures at the head of the club in Jos and Katrien and I wonder if they have put pressure on DC to allow them to try to get him back and involved. You could even make a case for the theory that Jos deliberately didn't play a striker against Millwall to prove a point and get some movement on the Hirst front?? It also can't have done any harm for young George to be sat twiddling his thumbs while half a dozen of the team he played with now getting first team opportunities and three of them signing new contracts, that might have helped persuade him to make contact with the club as well.

Yet, his form has improved in the last little while, even before the new boss took the helms. Could it have anything to do with his contract running out? He may actually have more ability than what I'd credited him for. But, over the last God knows how many years he's been bloody awful. So, I agree with that list of players that Stateside has said should go, but my list would also include Nuhiu.
He won't go though because the new boss, like the others before him, likes him I think.
So, go on, I'm "obsessed", a "Nuhiu hater" and all that B.S. I don't care. I call the shots as I see them. I've nothing against him as a person. Oh, FFS.
I think Nuhiu has been awful in most games recently as well as the rest of his time with us!! He has had a couple of game where he has been completely anonymous, but he has scored a few goals, mainly in the cup. Either way we haven't had many choices recently but he should still be shown the door in the summer. He has his uses, but we would be better off getting a younger promising lower league player to play the big man for the last 20 mins and they wouldn't be any worse!!

I wouldn't be surprised at the first one. I know it's early days but Jos still has to show he has the mettle to get us out of what has become a relegation battle. I know there are still some on here that don't think we are in one, but that's a head in the sands outlook. I recognize that we have serious injury problems but he has to be able to somehow grind out some wins. Only one so far.

Jos was brought in for the long term I would imagine. His record is all about taking teams from one league and getting them promoted, and not necessarily in one season. He is exactly the manager we need to retool and mount a challenge for promotion over the next few seasons. Mick McCarthy is Mick McCarthy and there is no way I can see us going for him. So I call BS on the first article.
The second one wouldn't surprise me. One of the risks of playing youngsters is that the bigger clubs see them perform and might want to sign them. But that is a risk we need to take and when we can't hold onto a player we get the most we can for him and reinvest. Gone are the days of holding onto the really good youngsters, a bigger club will always come sniffing.

You have to build into the equation the draws we have got and who they were against - away at the blunts and Boro, home to Cardiff - all teams chasing promotion, these should be considered good results when you bear in mind how poor we looked under Carlos in the end. Our performances have greatly improved on the whole, even with the injury list, that as well is a positive. I don't think anyone is denying we are in a bad position especially not the club themselves, but there is still cause for optimism that we will survive.

One of the commentators on the Swansea live stream commented that Wednesday suffered from a lack of pace. Only Joao has any.
