I think this move fills spaces for both clubs, we have an abundance of strikers and are short in midfield. Would also prefer to have seen Nuhiu leave but as Washington says that would require someone actually wanting him!!! We have picked up an experienced midfielder but had to give up Winnall to get him, nowt to do with Nuhiu in the end, and we see a player leave on loan who was going to be on the bench at best and more often than not he wasn't even going to make that either!! If the FF thing is part of it, then hopefully it will help with the squad as well, but I think this was more of a footballing move!!

We get rid of Winnall and keep Nuhiu, BIZARRE!!
I agree. Winnall has potential. Nuhiu has nothing to offer. Bad deal imo. But I'm glad you said it as I would have been lambasted if I had.
Remember this is a season long loan, we haven't sold him. So if he really does have potential, and certainly Imre doesn't think so, then lets hope he scores 20 goals for Derby because it won't be against us as he can't play against us and we could take him back at the end of the season and either sell him for much more or play him if he has improved. As he is a squad player at best, I think this is a good deal for us as long a Butterfield is good enough.

winnall is a pub league striker who has had one season in the championship his lack of technical abitliy is going to make it hard for him to score more than 10 goals a season on a normal basis in the championship as he needs too many shots on goal before he scores and chances are few and far between in the championship ! yes he scored quite a few with Barnsley in there first season back in this league but they were losing games 4-3 and playing Kevin Keagan football which most teams do when they first come up so chances were a plenty ! but either with or without IC (idiot carlos) we wont be doing much of that in the future as not losing is more important than winning in this league and the premier if you are going to be up at the top half or at least not in the bottom end of the leagues !
after saying all that he has been treated pretty badly since Rhodes came to town and im sure he will be sticking 2 fingers up to IC after scoring the next time we play Derby
on to Butterfield and again my main concern is IC as you could have messi and he might not work in a IC formation Maybe like charlie is hoping his exsperiance will help us out ? he cant be as bad as Abdi thats for sure but all said and done we needed a 10 million pound midfielder a class act and weve got another gesture signing like winnall was
its not looking good im afraid and i am dreading playing the blades as at the moment its a nailed on loss all the way

Sorry didn't realize it was a loan. Hope there's a recall clause in it. The few times I've seen him play I thought he did okay.

By the sounds of things weve signed yet another barry bannan in butterfield quote derby fan " he makes loads of slow back passes and shoots from anywhere outside the box "
so is he only here to replace Bannan from the bench ? id say 100% nailed on as CC has found his midfield pairing with Jones and hes never going to play a 5 man midfield
more bench fodder im afriad
Why is the Forest game 1130 kick off ? thats 530 kick off ... not getting up for it whatsoever !
