I believe this is a bug in the BB software.  The new post works OK but there is an issue with the reply button on each post.

I've raised a case with the development team of the underlying BB software.

This has also been added to the Change Request list.

I'll keep you posted...

My reply button works ok Thumb up

Can we change 'Guests' to 'Peeping Toms' ? Shame them in to signing up Cool

What about a General or Other Football sub forum? Where you can talk about non-league clubs or discuss football in general.

Can we have the two sub forums of international cricket and county cricket scrapped please and all put into one general cricket forum please? We had this on New 606 and found it worked better without the sub forums.

And how about a recent topics bit on the front page, like on the front page of New 606?

We are having our first post launch management meeting on Friday and I will add this to the list for discussion. Just hope we can double our numbers by then Confused

Glad to see it is just not me having the "reply" problems. Any response from the development team yet? :-(

When I log in, it says "you will now be taken back to the page you came from" or some such, but I'm not, I'm taken to the forum home page. Either make it do what it says or else change the message. Obviously I'd prefer it if it did take me back to the page I was on, because I probably logged in so that I could add a comment to that page.

Yes I know this was a fault with New 606 too, but we're not trying to replicate it so exactly that we have to replicate its faults as well as good points, are we?

American date display is annoying.

The myBB developers (who wrote the underlying forum software) have accepted this is a bug. Here are their case notes in case your interested! https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/1391

As a work round I found that this only affects IE. Firefox works OK.

Hope that helps...

Date display is a user preference and can be changed in the options section in User CP.

Regarding navigation:

When you are in a thread looking at comments at the bottom there is an pull down option ‘Forum Jump’. If you hit Go that takes you to the top of the thread you are in.
If you want to leave that thread and go elsewhere you have three choices:
1. Use the forum jump and select where  and then click go
2. If at the bottom of a long thread
   a. select Go on forum jump and go to the top of the thread then
   b. Look to the left above the thread heading and click on ‘sports babble – sports forum’ which takes you to the top. Equally you might pick the sub heading which could be the club you’re looking at.
3. If at the top of a short thread just scroll to the top and do as suggested at b above.
