Re the car industry alone I think the political 'cute move' would centre on a possible new direction for the whole industry that centres on new innovations, cleaner cars than ever before, automated transport,  diesel fuel vehicles being poss sidelined for eventual new generation vehs! However, I don't think Trump's administration is astute enough to drive through (pardon the pun!) such a renaisance in transport provision and logistics.

All good initiatives but won't work over here yet!! Diesel in cars never took off here, they are a rare sight. Gas (petrol to you) is hovering around $3/gallon (about 65 pence per liter) here in California and we are the most expensive state, so there is no financial reason for people to worry too much about fuel consumption!! And lets not forget that the trump administration doesn't officially believe in global warming etc and so initiatives that promote a better environment are well off the table at the moment!!

The fact that tens of millions think he speaks truth plainly is the really worrying aspect.

Well that recent report from reputable Yale psychologists certainly deemed him to be mentally unstable. Although I am highly qualified academically, I wouldn't require a Degree to realise that fact anyway as many other people/critics throughout the world would acknowledge only too well lol!

This is a great 'read' titled 'An American Tragedy' by the New Yorker editor, David Remnick. It's a good,, comprehensive and critical summary of Trump's election triumph, his highly questionable and discredited business background and his crass way of conducting himself + the challenges ahead for many good but alarmed Americans who effectively witnessed a triumphant vote in a climate of resentment. I allude to his suggestion that such a 'climate of discontent' will surely open up a breeding ground for fascism to prosper. Remnick certainly provides a good insight into the political folly of electing such a character and makes a good comparison of past decent American presidents like Roosevelt and Obama who took over a country in crisis but their 1st hundred days were more assured and prepared for the challenges ahead.

Add this latest embarrassment to the American Tragedy that is Trump. Of course New Yorkers were very familiar with him being an absolute 'chancer' and a discredited one at that!

The latest Trump news 'hot off the press' is that he has sacked the Director of the FBI, James Comey, the reasoning being that Comey's formal dismissal of any guilt attached to the Clinton e-mail insinuations should have been actioned by the US Justice Dept! What I find curious re this dismissal is that there is still an ongoing investigation of an association between Trump election advisers and poss Russian cohorts! I wonder if Comey's successor will have the solid conviction to pursue this case that appears to have some substance attached to it and could indeed be a 'ticking time bomb'!

Corrupt president sacks man investigating him..... Said it all along he is a front for putin and his chums. There's no way this moron is making any actual decisions or guiding policy. I doubt they trust him to pick his own pizza toppings.
