Bizzare state of affairs with Rangers saying resignations accepted and Warburton reportedly not knowing anything about the statement??? If they have had a difference of opinion then fine but for Rangers to effectively say that they have not achieved what they expected is also bizzare!! Not sure what else they expected, the club is newly promoted, still lacks proper funding and is fighting for 2nd spot with Aberdeen and Hearts - what on top of that did they expect this season?? If the expectation is to challenge Celtic then I hope every manager they approach says no to the job because that is wholly unrealistic at the moment, and that is likely to be the case for a few years!!

Yep! And there's still a great possibility that an administration exercise could take place during that period - that would suit King 'right down to the ground'!

The narrative seems to be.....

Warburton is sounded out for a job, tells them he'll forego compensation due to him if he gets it

Doesn't get it.

Rangers 'accept the resignation'

I hope warbs gets himself a good lawyer.

Warburton has more chance of getting a very good lawyer than Rangers do of getting a good manager!!!! However this happened this is a total screw up by both parties and something a club that is still fragile like they are could really do without!!

McLeish being mentioned as replacement!!! Doh

Kings statement there doesn't clear up anything. You don't resign on monday and then take training and do pre match and press conferences later that week. The mans a lying bastard.

Accusing warburton of leaking to the press and using them as a 'stepping stone'

Also 18 mill of the promised 30 million has been 'invested'

An absolute joke of an organisation.

Other managers will look at how warburtons been handled and give it a swerve. So it will surely have to be a 'real rangers man' .... mcleish, billy 'the swinger' davies or walter 'the cardigan' smith.

The way it sounds is if the resignation was done verbally if so Sevco could find themselves in court surely they haven't accepted a resignation that's not in writing?? Oh wait this is Sevco so I await the inevitable car crash
