I agree that it's a great signing for £10m. Very much mystified at why Hull would sell him though as I can't imagine the extra £10m in the bank will help them stay up this season.
Ighalo could well turn out to be a great transfer also. Can't be any worse than Saido as he's nowhere near approaching a Premier League player ever since he spat the dummy out over us not letting him go to Spurs.

We could lose Sulky Boy for next to nowt come the summer, so if we get £12m for him, I see it as we're paying £5m for Ighalo - which isn't much of a gamble!

While I appreciate Ighalo would be an improvement on a non-existent Berahino, there's always a danger when it comes to attacking players that you're getting them just for the sake of getting them. Making the mistake of thinking that any striker is better than no striker is how you end up with a forward line of Nicolas Anelka, Victor Anichebe, Matej Vydra, Markus Rosenberg and Thievy Bifouma.
Obviously if Ighalo comes then fair enough, I hope he'll do well, but centre-forward is one position where I'm sort of hoping we'll keep our powder dry and see if we can really steal a gem from somewhere.

...that's quite a list for the last few years, and suggests that finding a goal scorer - certainly for us! - is difficult; at least Ighalo has proved that he CAN cut it at this level, even if he has had a pretty barren 12 months or so

£17 Million maybe to much agreed but he had 13 goals in 19 games in the premiership last year,
I am not unhappy with him as a player and he could be a good buy. I am though nervous about buying a player who as a centre forward has an equal scoring record to Big Vic so far this season and paying £17 million into the bargain. It is more than feasible that this year is just a blip as you rightly point out he does have a career record of around 1 in 3 so about 13 a season. On top of that can you see TP playing two fully fledged centre forwards if we are not already 2-0 down?
So personally if we get him great, I will just hope his form returns, if not I will probably end up looking at him as he scores 10 in the last half of the season and then goes to Barcelona for £85 million, calling myself all the mugs under the sun.

Pullis confirms Stoke bid for Berahino around £6 million.
£6 million is a joke whether he is a spoilt brat or not he is still a very talented player and if Ighalo is worth £17 million then £6 million is an absolute insult and if yesterdays reports from Stoke that any offer would be a "take it or leave it", I would say leave it.
