This article proved a bit of a storm for quite a few
Giroud is a player who divides opinion, he can be caught offside twenty times by the Darlington FC offside trap yet somehow
https://www.football365.com/news/oliver-...ng-striker
Giroud does have a point to feel singled out here given his career goal count is pretty superb for club and country
There are some much better examples of the non-scoring striker (I dont mean Diego Forlan at Utd either)
Mark Hughes call always score a wonder goal but he would never blast Utd to the title with Kane/Shearer goal tally`s his selfless holding up of the ball and bringing others into play getting Utd`s midfielders every year at the 10+ goal tally
Playing until he was about 38, hardly scoring, conductor of some huge transfer fees was Emile Heskey, I never got him at all, he had talent but would go tumbling down when tackled by Warwick Davis yet managers and strike partners would rave about him
Victor Anichebe ran his heart out during his last EPL spell helping penalty box king Defoe yet it`s goals that keep you up, WBA fans could have told you this!
And of course lets be honest Chelsea have done a roaring trade since the EPL inception in non-scoring Strikers: Paul Furlong, Mateja Kezman, Andrei Shevchenko, Fernando Torres, Alvaro Morata, Claudio Pizarro, Chris Sutton et al
