Hamilton have signed 22-year-old midfielder Kieran Monlouis from the English non-league ranks.
Monlouis had spells in the youth academies of Crystal Palace, Stoke and Charlton before dropping down to play for the likes of Maldon & Tiptree and AFC Sudbury. He was most recently at St Albans City in the National League South.
Accies released midfielders Darren Lyon and Ross Jenkins in recent weeks, the former joining Peterborough on Friday.
Manager Martin Canning told the club’s official website: ‘’Kieran is a powerful box-to-box type midfielder who we think can develop further here. He’s been in working with the first-team and we hope to get him involved in the reserve games in the coming weeks to get him up to speed.
“We’ve been monitoring Kieran’s progress for a while and he fits the young, hungry profile we were looking for to strengthen us in that area of the pitch following the departure of Darren and Ross.’’
