Crunch time forTonwsend and Scotland!

So a massive challenge awaits a revitalised Scotland RU team in what is an RU stronghold at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. The match is effectively the 'grand slam chasers' v a Scotland side that has a 'sniff' at winning the 6 Nations title if they win on Saturday - an intriguing game and Scotland have no significant away form to brag about but I notice that a number of 'big hitters' are returning from injury in a game that they are 'playing for something'. Curious!

FT 28-8 and Scotland's form frustrating again from a fan's point of view! This should have been a closer score line than the way it ended up and the synergy of creativity and accuracy consistently corrupted by Scotland - lotsa creation but no accuracy as promising attacking moves kept 'breaking down' on the final pass! Thumb down One of the 'defining moments' in this game was Jones' 1st half marauding drive through the Irish defence/right flank with Hogg supporting him on his right to run in Scotland's 1st try and turn the score line from 7-3 to 7-8 - final pass lousy and absolutely needless to throw away a positive moment for Scotland! Other dreadful moments ensued from thereon in!
