Raith Rovers v Hibs - Sat 18 February, KO 3.00pm

I think this has been coming for a few weeks Lennon does not normally sound off but todays performance has a bitter pill to swallow for him.

Did the team have one eye on weds game maybe so but yogi set Raith up wi 5 across the middle today and we could not work through them.

Maybe a clear the air meeting on Monday at East Mains will help to iron out any issues within the squad  and make us stronger towards the run in C'mon the Hibs

I also noticed Dylan Mac missing from the full list of players incl subs. IMO no coincidence and I'll be surprised if he's not in Hibs starting line up on Wednesday night esp after Lenny questioning Hibs having a reputable 'passing game'.

Lennon didn't exclude himself from criticism either, and that he needs to consider his own work as well. i think he is going through a bit of 'soul searching' himself this weekend and monday is going to be interesting at training.

He's alluding to the mentality being wrong - We've been way too soft for way too long now. He knows what he's talking about i hope the players take heed.

He seems reluctant to risk dylan on a lot of the surfaces we play on now. Ideally he should have started the day instead of big marvin or fyvie.

With regard to Dylan, despite all the talk saying his injury was sorted and just needed to be managed , I believe he is only ever going to be a bit player now. If 100% fit then he has to start every game and that shouldn't be dependant on the surface we are playing on. As it does seem to depend on this there is obviously a big concern that it will flare up again.

As I posted elsewhere if it was an injury that was only ever going to be short term he would still be at Celtic. Real shame as he is one of the best creative midfielders we have had at ER for a while when he is on his game.

I don't think it was ever 'formally' intimated that Dylan's injury was sorted but there was reasonable optimism from Lenny himself that it could be remedied after finally identifying that this soft tissue injury was located at the top of one of his hamstrings - that relative discussion was enacted at Hibs AGM in November 2016 and too much time time has passed by to share the optimism that was expressed by the manager at this meeting. Therefore I'm wondering if an op is gonna be the eventual option for Hibs sports scientists to follow in order to deal with this persistent prob once and for all and do McGeouch a favour in setting his career 'back on track'.
