Mackay Sacked
#1
Malky Mackay has been sacked as Wigan manager after just under five months in charge of the Championship strugglers.

The Latics made the announcement following a 2-0 defeat by Derby County on Monday, which left them eight points adrift of safety with five games left.

"This is a very difficult decision to make," said Wigan chairman David Sharpe in a statement.

"But I feel that for the long-term future of the club, there needs to be a change now."

For all the hype surrounding Mackay, some obviously caused by his firing from Cardiff, he has brought no improvement whatsoever to their position and for me deservedly has been fired!! It will be a brave chairman who takes him on now considewring all the crap Wigan went through.

Cardiff supporters talked of his cautious nature in the EPL and perhaps it was his cautious nature to not attack when in relegation mire than go for the three points

Although theres a few journey men in there the right manager could turn this around quickly not though by playing Fortune up front though

Nah, Simon Grayson can have the job when he gets fired 10 game sinto next season!!!  Grayson is the master of getting teams out of League 1 but cannot seem to get them any further, so he would be the perfect guy!!

And Gary `Bombscare`Caldwell was the big replacement, great shove a Rookie manager in there to get them playing out of trouble, you always wonder if Caldwell had the Chairman`s ear with this one" he`s lost the dressing room Sir, I could do a better job Y`know"
