Sad news today that Richie Benaud died today aged 84. I grew up listening to him on tv commentating on Test cricket in the UK, even though he was an Aussie, he was a great commentator!! RIP Ritchie.

Very sad news, I remember him commentating on the test matches I used to watch during the summer holidays

Always liked his style and delivery as a commentator on TV or radio. He painted many a vivid picture in my mind when he was on the radio. A lot around now in many sports would do well to emulate him.

Great commentator. Last of the old school that I grew up listening to. Jonners, Arlott, Laker, CMJ. All sadly missed.
RIP, Richie.

He was a class act. I grew up listening to him and mourn the departure of someone who seems like an old friend.
