You have to remember Exeter fans do have Gary Caldwell as manager. That is the ultimate cheap plastic ticket to relegation. It's a when not a whether in Chesterfield's experience (and Partick's) and he was pretty moderate playing and managing Hibs. His major success was taking over someone else's team at Wigan and getting promotion, but they were bottom weren't they when they sacked him? He's quite good at getting jobs he then can't do. I predicted Exeter to win just to be different. I've never been so happy to be wrong.
Exeter's keeper has been getting raves and polishing up the statistics too. But the major statistic is that though he knows how to do the job, he needs a late growth spurt or an illegal hormone. Play a tall striker and a wide man who can cross and he'll be done. Shorter keepers who can play out from the back may be coming in fashion ........ but the truth is you can't play out from the back of the net.

He picked it out of there 4 times on Saturday Devon, though two didn't count. In my opinion he was proper dodgy. Who punches an unchalleged cross away at chest height? If you haven't got your moobs behind it to cradle it into your chest, then you knock it down and catch it on the bounce. He also tended to launch it down the wings rather than play it out.
