Very true about the games against Celtic (and unfortunately Rangers too), jim. But we should expect Hibs to cause them a few problems with a decent performance.
McCowan would be a good addition, if we can get his signature before Celtic do.

As expected, Celtic cruised through with a comfortable 3-1 victory. As the song says, things can only get better. By the way, the transfer window is still open, if SDG wants to dump Ekpiteta. He can only get better too, but I think playing out from the back with tippy-tappy football is not what we need at the moment.
A great goal from Kuharevich gave us some hope, and raised our confidence, but more direct football is what is required.

It was 3 going on 10 really, apart from a great header from Miko we didn't really threaten.... The left hand side of our defence was all over the place at times but we showed a bit of resilience at times too. Why SDG pushed rocky up the park like that was a bit bizarre though. I'm not totally convinced about that new goalie either.
Anyways that was a tough start for the manager, next weekend there has to be a response though. Dundee are a handy enough side and we are going to have to produce a performance.
We are slowly starting to ship some of the deadwood out as well to be fair. There just needs to be an improvement in the standard of player brought in. Time will tell if that's the case.

I'm not convinced by Bursik, either, but I'll cut him a wee bit of slack, as he was put under pressure by his own defender. The games against Dundee and Kilmarnock will tell us a lot about our prospects for the season.
