Easy trip for those travelling down the M6, Walsall will be receiving the travelling hordes on Saturday. The Saddlers have made an iffy start to the season and still await their first win. They have lost some experienced players, Andy Butler being the main one. Won there last season, hopefully should do the same this week.
Need to be on our game after a two week break.

As poor results go, the loss at Walsall is a clunker. If you want to go up you have to win at places like the Bescot with no disrespects to any Walsall fans who may read this. Grayson changes the line up again and formation sometimes think he is not sure what is best line up is. Little goes off early injured and Hugill is sent off, could leave us sadly lacking in forwards for Tuesday as Garner cannot do it on his own.

I don't think anyone really expected us to be coming down to visit you from near the top of the table .... but with Russell Slade struggling to keep his job at Orient this still looks a tough league for even decent teams to get out of.

I'd expect the play-offs to be the least you'll achieve, but it has to happen on grass, not web forums dunnit? We topped up our list of injuries and suspensions with probably our classiest player going off after 22 minutes on Saturday, and still won 4-1. As Russell Slade will testify the path to success isn't on any map. He's apparently improved his team in about eight positions, gained a billionaire backer and has plummeted from the promotion race to the relegation zone.

Everything says Preston should be in there with Bristol, Sheff Utd, Coventry, Orient, the Posh and maybe Bradford and the Dons, but it's easy to slide out of contention whilst you're looking at your team and thinking they're too good to be losing matches like this. We've spent a lot of time looking at Division Two from eighth or ninth, knowing we could be second or third ...... and you just end up eighth or ninth, asking the questions you're starting to ask.

Sometimes play-offs are the only way you can go.

Finishing one place outside the play-offs and pretty much guessing that was your fate halfway through the season is dispiriting - especially when that begins to look like your satnav into the future.

And of course you should play Kevin Davies against us ......... Chesterfield fans will love it and him! Will he give his all against us? Every ounce and that's quite a few in Kev's case. You should cherish him. We would! He'd have got us to the Cup Final if it weren't for the public school system.

We've got a lot of players out for a small club. Don't know how we're doing what we're doing, but we have got The Ginger Costa. You probably need to play four centre backs. We've got The Ivory Balotelli too.

Well past his best I'd say, but he knows Chesterfield love him. He'll come out to play if you've the sense to pick him. New centre back pairing versus wily old centre forward, it's the way to go.
