La Liga giants Sevilla are looking to reinforce their midfield and have identified Dutchman Davy Pröpper as a key January target after the Spanish side was hit by two injuries.
Ibrahim Amadou and Maxime Gonalons are sidelined with a dislocated elbow and fractured fibula respectively, and according to Mundo Deportivo, Propper is Sevilla’s top target to replace them.
Since his £7 million transfer from PSV at the start of the 2017 season Pröpper has been one of the standout players as the south coast team look to secure their long term status as a Premiership side. He has already added nine league appearances this season to the 40 he made across the board last year as Brighton finished comfortably in 15th place.
Prior to his spell in the Premier League with Brighton – which was always intended as a stepping stone to bigger things – Pröpper played for hometown club Vitesse Arnhem before moving to PSV. In Eindhoven the Dutch international won the domestic league title as well as two Dutch Super Cups.
Should he make the move to the south of Spain he would link up with Dutch compatriot Quincy Promes who switched Moscow for Andalucía in summer.
