Team selection next weekend is going to be interesting.
Hopefully, Jonny Evans will be fit and in contention;  what happens to Daws who's been doing an excellent job as centre-half stand-in - his natural position;  Yacob or Livermore for defensive midfielder.

Goals from midfield were a feature of our Championship-winning team of 2007-08. Kevin Phillips scored 22 league goals (Miller 9, Bednar 13, Beattie 3) but Morrison, Gera, Brunt and Texeira, Robert Koren and Jonno ("the best midfield in the world", lol) chipped in with 32 goals (with one by Do Heon). The defenders got 7 and OG 2, total 88. So - attack scored 47 goals, MF 32, a ratio of 3:2. If we can replicate that sort of ratio in the PL, I'll be happy. I don't have the current numbers to hand, sorry. And we won't score 88 goals in the PL.  

Much the same goes for when we first came back to the Prem.  The season when Odemwingie scored fifteen goals, we also had four from Mozza, one from Brunty, three from Jerome Thomas, one from Dorrans, six from Mulumbu and four from Scharner.  Those last two in particular are an eye-opener; imagine Fletcher and Yacob giving us ten goals between them in a season!

Youssouf Mulumbu! I used to write to him c/o the Albion at season's end asking for his shirt, but of course I never got a reply! On the pitch, he was like a benign loose cannon, he could never control a bouncing ball with a first touch, but at his best what a footballer to have in your side.

Why just Mulumbu's shirt Aries ?
It seems Youssouf's career has stumbled somewhat since leaving West Brom. Since joining Norwich in 2015 according to Wikipedia, he has only made 18 appearances for the Canaries, the same as Dozza. May not be up-to-date mind.
