Ipswich Town @ Deepdale 22/8/2015

The league leaders arrive at Deepdale on Saturday and will present another difficult challenge for our newly promoted side. They went top by beating Burnley 2-0 with goals from Sears and McGoldrick, Under the guidance of straight talking manager Mick McCarthy they will be hoping to improve on last seasons play off semi final defeat against Norwich. They have a useful strike force with Pitman, Murphy, McGoldrick and the more than useful Freddie Sears.
Personally expect it to be a different type of game to Tuesday rugged battle at Rotherham, as the Tractor Boys do play a far more attractive game than the Millers.
Gallagher apparently had a groin strain at MKD which may explain his awful performance on Tuesday, goals are a bit of a worry could do with Beckford returning to fitness. Last time we met we won a reply in the cup 3-2 with a Garner hattrick from the subs bench,
As I said tough game this but much better than playing league 1 games.

Tough team to beat and play relatively directly, as you would expect from McCarthy but they do seem far more vulnerable away from home so on your day you could get a result!! Watch out for Sears, his pace caused us all sorts of problems when we played them last week and led to some defensive errors that he was able to score on one occasion.

Not having been can only surmise from comments on social media, sounds like Ipswich were more clinical than us with the winning goal being a super goal. Apparently we were excellent in the first half, but need to take our chances when they come along. Hopefully we can learn from this although the next game in the league isn't easy, we are away at Hull.
On the positive side Galgate A are through to the Division of the Westmorland League cup final to play Kirkby Lonsdale at Heysham next Sunday.
