.....has been voted Town player of the month.
Deserved? I think so. Do you?
Why has he suddenly started playing like the player we all thought he would be rather than Mister Inconsistent?
Is it all down to our new manager?

He's a player who needs an arm round him, someone who tells him how good he is and believes in him. He always had the ability, only a deluded town fan would deny that. The problem was consistency and at times, application possibly when he came on late and he tried to do too much. Hopefully now we can see the real deal, his core strength is ridiculous (i.e. putting danny shittu on the floor last time we played millwall) and his ability to beat a man is probably one of the best in the league. Final product now needs to be much better and is becoming that, if he keeps getting assists and performs well in addition, he's becoming one of the first names on the team sheet and we visibly missed him when he was on the bench along with Bunn.

when a player like that has such a dramatic turnaround in consistency it can only be down to the way he is being managed i cant think of any other explanation
I was one who advocated letting him go because of his consistency problems , for a long time he looked like a passenger in the squad and looked like he didnt care
obviously i was wrong he wasnt failing the management team was failing him
just goes to show how important man management is

People have not managed him well. My old boss used to know sean scannell, nathaniel clyne and other players when he worked at crystal palace and he said he was a first class professional as well as the main person who would do community work, and all the other extra activities that players can choose not to do outside of training. So I don't think it was ever an attitude problem, just getting the best out of him. He's come from a place where you had to fight for everything you got so sometimes you just need someone to believe in you and tell you how good you are. Confidence is something which is tough to build but very easy to shatter.

More than deserved is this accolade, lets hope he can continue. The upsurge in his performance since Powell arrived is remarkable, must be Powell, that's all there is to it. Long may it continue.
