Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed for Notts County on the same day it was announced his older brother Alex is likely to miss the whole of the season.

Christian, a 20-year-old right-back who was out of contract at Portsmouth, is only just back to full fitness himself having suffered a broken leg in a training-ground accident in April.
