Armstrong from Southampton is still being muted, waiting approval from EFL according to several news sources (that invariably will be from one single unreliable source no doubt)

It sounds like documentation was lodged last night but they are awaiting confirmation. But I’m just going ton the various news channels which can be less than reliable.
Honestly, it feels like a good window. Dobbin gone, decent money for Palmer. Young goalkeeper promoted, young attacking midfielder, young midfielder, loan striker, maybe a proven goalscorer.
How good is it that we actually appear to have a plan too? Sign young, hope they turn out well, sell when the time and price is right. Miles ahead of the Lai years

Not sure how I feel about the Armstrong signing, do I rate him as a championship striker, absolutely, but his signing means we know who will be our starting striker as this is the third time TM has brought him to a club he is at. We have another CF on loan from Spurs who will not be happy if he is not getting considerable game time, meaning all of our own players will be sitting watching until the end of the season, when these loanees leave for their parent clubs and we are back to the drawing board, mind you if we don't get promoted there maybe a chance we hang onto Armstrong. Not saying these are not good signings just a little apprehensive on the moral side of things.

I think it gives TM the opportunity to rotate the squad during what usually becomes a really hectic coming period in the Championship. We also know how our injuries have been and it gives him some flexibility to rest players, particularly if they have a slight niggle. It also means he doesn't necessarily have to rush players back (thinking Maja and Dike). Sure, some players will be dischuffed but if it helps them raise their game, then all well and good. As regards Armstrong, if, as expected, Southampton are relegated, I strongly suspect they'll want him back.
The light at the end of the tunnel is the light of an oncoming train

I see these signings only as a positive thing; if, by some miracle, we get promoted, it'll mean a massive reshuffle anyway. If we don't, let's fail by having a buddy good go at it!

If it can be believed (big if). Everton have agreed personal terms with Fellows and Albion have agreed a deal to sell him in the summer.
Seems odd, if real, as we might be promoted or at least there could be a battle for his signature from a number of clubs.
