Very true, jim. Clarke has moulded Scotland into an efficient team with dependable players. Job done before half-time against Cyprus and Scotland just shut up shop in the second half. Perfect tactics in the oppressive heat. The most important statistic for Clarke was "Cyprus Nil".

And look what he's done for McTominey - from a stop-gap defender into a free-scoring midfielder.
