A sickner to lose it it the last minute but on reflection Barnsley probably deserved it, they at least had efforts on goal where as our only effort on target was the goal.
Barnsley certainly did their homework on us. Any sort of ball in the air into the box and we can’t defend it, another 2 goals today to prove that point.
It doesn’t help that we’ve got more wounded/injured than a feature long episode of Casualty but it’s plain for everyone to see that if we are bringing on Pritchard and Diakahby then we are woefully short on players. This is something PH and CC need to rectify in January, at least 3 Championship ready players need to be signed and not just “projects” like Danny Grant.
Anyway it’s back to the beer for me, whilst I try and forget the fact that if we’d held onto all our leading positions this season we would be comfortably ensconced in the play offs

We can't defend, always seem to panic when it gets near our area, how many times do we kick it against our own players?
Time to sack diakhaby off full stop, should be nowhere near the squad, Jones and Rowe can't possibly offer any less than he does surely?
Harratt could have done what Campbell did that second half, atm he's being run into the ground and if he gets injured then we're in a creak without a paddle
Need to get business done quick in this window. Need another midfield option too for me, eiting disappears during physical games

jjames, I’ve had the feeling all along that PH said to CC that we’ve got all these players that have a cost a fortune, haven’t featured much and we need to get them playing. That applies to Mbenza,Pritchard,Diakahby,Hamer. The middle 2 can sod off now, pay em up and F them off. Failing that stick them in the B team for the foreseeable future, nobody is going to buy them so it’s not like we’d be losing out financially because that boat has already sailed, while we’re at it add Elphick to that list.

Yeah I think for Elphick it's more a case of being unfortunate, it was a clear foul and it's arguably cost him the twilight of his career.
Wouldn't surprise me if hes named as schofields replacement as b team coach.
I've said to a friend that this summer could be interesting as a lot of teams have good players coming to the end of their contracts and they can't afford to keep them on that money. There will be plenty of players that surprisingly leave clubs. The likes of pritch and dia are on around 20k a week, they are highly likely to not to get a contract anywhere near that figure again for a fair while.
He pointed out that this brexit deal has thrown the spanner in the works for a lot of teams as they no longer can target bundesliga 2 and all that. Maybe town have stolen a march by looking at South America

I'd be surprised if we're paying anyone 20K a week, but I don't have the evidence to prove it or deny it one way or the other. That said our away form is abysmal and if it was even 50% of our recent home form we'd be in the top 10 without sweating about it.
