AIK V Celtic

This could be a "tricky" fixture on a 2-0 1st leg score line but I expect Celtic to "weather the storm" and progress to the Europa League group stages. Neil Lennon will be well aware of a challenging league match 3 days later v Rangers at Ibronx and it will be curious to see how he will try to "juggle" things around in order to target that massive game on Sunday!

Sure enough, Celtic have indeed scored in Stockholm and now hold a 1-2 lead (1-4 agg) v AIK with about 18 mins left. Mikey Johnson scoring a sensational 2nd goal after a great run immediately after AIK's equalising goal - could be an og by the AIK goalie but his piercing run through the AIK defence was terrific. Unfortunately Ajer injured in the 1st half plus Edouard although IMO his injury looks like a touch of cramp.

Celtic run out easy winners in the end with two late goals to register a 4-1 win, , so 6-1 on aggregate. They will be joined in the group stages by Rangers after a late, late winner for them at Ibrox. When was the last time two Scottish teams got to the group stages??
