That's who is missing, big Duncan Shearer, how this guy didn't get in is a mystery? A hat trick on his debut, although his period at the club is always associated with the clubs lowest point in modern times, the 10-1 hammering at Maine Road and the ultimate relegation where we shipped over 100 goals won about 5 games and just slid in Dvision 3 with a whimper.

Aye but Boothy was in the team that got relegated to the fourth division.
Shearer should be there. Can't believe I missed him.
We need a bigger walkway.

I actually remembered big Dunc when we started this thread.
I loved the guy...saw him play many times, and also on his debut. Spoke to him outside W H Smith once. I saw him score 4 goals v the Chickens.
However he was never in my legend status because he only played a couple of years with us.
Same with Craig Maskell who was my 2nd favourite player ever for Town. What he did in that one brilliant season for us I will always remember.
Same with Tom Cowan...my all time hero for the club....he was just fantastic for us. Played about 3 years (I think) but gave everything.
Are the players above, legends for the club ???
No...I don't think so. It's not about who you remember as a player....who you think was a legend.
For me it's about who made a DIFFERENCE for our club...
That could be a promotion/save relegation/win a cup etc etc.
So on that basis...Duncan Shearer never changed owt, as did Craig Maskell or Tom Cowan. Neither did Marcus Stewart.
That 1920's 3 times winning team (3 or more players) absolutely should be classed as legends.
As should Herbert Chapman.....how the fook he never made it on there is a mystery. Our greatest ever manager.

Me and Amelia were getting wed when Big Dunc first pulled on his Town shirt and graced the Leeds Road pitch.
