It's worth mentioning on this board that tomorrow v the Dons will be the last footie match day before the Main Stand at Tynecastle is no more and the demolition workers reduce it to rubble. I'm sure it will be a nostalgic moment for many Hearts fans who have watched their team(s) down the decades since the reputable architect, Archibald Leitch, designed it and it was constructed in 1919. Indeed many ghosts will be buried with it but the stadium inevitably requires a more modern replacement. Whether this partial modernisation should actually be at this location is another debate for another day by lotsa Hearts fans who differ on that subject (stadium relocation elsewhere?). However, the decision has been taken to proceed with it anyway and finance this project in the best way that they can without 'breaking the bank'. It will certainly be the 'end of an era' for many resident fans.
