This is an intriguing story and it could well enhance Rodgers' growing reputation if it materialises - a mini coup for Celtic and an easy number for Gerrard playing in a fairly crap Scottish footie league that aint gonna get any better any time soon! The 'treble' will be even more lkely IMO.

I cant see why they would want to sign gerrard,dont get me wrong he was a world class player but he is surely done now and they are hardly going to progress further in Europe.

They don't need him to do the treble.

I believe he also wants to enhance his coaching skills. So it would be a win-win situation for both parties. Gerrard 'mucking in' with the coaching and integrating with the players, some of whom are ex Liverpool players, and Rodgers could randomly slot him in to a mid role if/when injuries arise during the long 'winter season' and esp when cup ties arise and he can change things a wee bit.
