What next for Brenda?

I`ll go with what Fell Racing legend Joss Naylor said about modern day footballers who earn more in a week than he did throughout his whole running career which included really going out there and doing some amazing feats of athleticism
Yet prima donna footballers who put it only a fraction of the actual talent they possess every week and its maddening

Weve ruined our football culture with young players not cleaning boots anymore and doing YTS, they all have Lamborghini`s and an agent prodding them for a transfer request by teh time they are 19

5-0 down to Stoke at half-time, worst ever half time score in Liverpool PL history, and in Gerrard's final game!!!Laugh

Better managers have been fired for results like this, but Brenda I am sure will survive!!

His coat must be on a decidedly shoogly peg, but I think he probably deserves to start next season at the helm to redeem himself. Summer transfers are going to be huge for him assuming that's what happens.

To be totally fair to him, losing Suarez was a huge blow to his team, and Sturridge has been out or only half-fit for practically the whole season too. You could argue Liverpool have done rather well considering the fact they lost 2 of their most important players without being able to replace them (Balotelli: failure; Lambert: pointless). That's why I think signing a quality striker is a must for them. Benteke is a perfect fit and they should go all out to convince Villa to part with him. Mind you, I suspect it's more likely Spurs will sell Kane to United or City and then buy Benteke with the proceeds. They've got a history of going for players Liverpool are interested in and outbidding them.

None of that is any excuse for the shocking defence though. If Rogers can't do something to sort that out quickly all the goals in the world at the other end wont help. I think they need to bring in a new specialist coach to rebuild that whole side of his team, and 4 new defenders and a keeper wouldn't hurt either.

Noticed last night Pepe Reina is available for nothing , still better than Mignolet

Pretty obvious Sterling is going so I thought about a Ramsey-esque 4-4-2 for Liverpool next season

Mignolet
Flanagan-Skrtel-Lovren-Moreno
MilnerHenderson-Allen/Can-Lallana
Origi/Ings- Sturridge

Lacks pace a bit but mix of steel, workrateand creativity, always throw on markovic for pace or 4-4-1-1 with Coutinho behind main striker

Cant see Liverpool ever winning the league with Rodgers at the helm as he always seems to go for quantity rather than quality,
the likes of Clyne,Henderson,Milner,Benteke,Lallana,Sturridge,Ings etc are all good players but not world class which you
need to become title contenders.
