Confirmed: Ange moving on to Tottenham Hotspur AFC!

Just under two days after the Scottish Cup final and it is more or less confirmed the Celtic manager is heading to White Hart Lane in North London to join up with the dubious Daniel Levey in a big team rebuilding project. One criticism from many Celtic fans is why the club didn't "tie him down" to a longer contract thereby ensuring a a reasonable sell on fee. It's likely that Ange didn't wanna sign up to that - his choice. Anyway, as previously suggested, could this "open the door" to a return for "super-cool" Brendan Rodgers, the showman (compared with Ange's persona)??? Euro Champs League group footie is definitely the "carrot" to attract a decent replacement. Interesting times ahead!

Came across as a sound guy to me, knew his football and put the moronic Scottish football press pack in their place more than once.

I'm not sure what the tims can really complain about. He was never going to turn that offer down. The money alone means he's made for life, and at 57 he isn't going to get many chances to manage in the EPL. Now he can test himself against the very best talent in the world, for a guy to come from Australia to do that is no mean feat.

The barely restrained fury on Desmond and Lawwells face at the cup final said it all really.

Be interesting to see how he does.

It looks like "super-cool" Brendan is in pole position to replace Ange and return to Celtic for a second stint after an intense process of negotiation with Dermot Desmond in Majorca. And a chance to add more properties to his portfolio of ever-increasing 110+ properties owned by him.

Apparently a "done deal" .

And according to the media this morning Rodgers will be confirmed next week as manager after talks at the weekend.  Be interesting to see the fans reaction as they weren't exactly happy with him when he left.

Its a game changer for Sevco. Beale thought he had Ange sussed and was clearly signing players to tackle his formation, then they must have thought they were going to appoint an unproven coach like Maresca.... but now they are having to deal with a guy who delivered multiple thrashings of the Gerrard/Beale team and who is tactically flexible. Shit he even throw on a striker when they were down to 10 men at ibrox and still won. Laugh

I wonder what came out of BR's player budget negotiations. That was his "bone of contention" when he previously left Celtic.
