Chester v Hereford 16/8/22
#1
Hereford visit the Deva Stadium tonight for a National League North league game. A second long trip for the Bulls in 4 days after being beaten by Scarborough on Saturday. Hopefully Tyrone Barnett and Miles Storey will have their shooting boots on tonight!

Chester have started well with a win and a draw in their first two games whereas we have just scrambled a 3.3 draw in our first game at home to Spennymoor. Get your tactics right Gowling........... Whistle

I would've thought Chester away would be one of the shortest trips in National League North.

True Snoots. Its unfortunate that we fall almost on the division line between North and South National Leagues so travel is always going to be a factor. It's a pity fixtures cannot be sorted so midweek games can be against teams such as Kiddie, Leamington, Worcester, Kettering, etc especially after a long trip to the north East Coast 4 days earlier............not as easy as that I know!

Five or six years ago went to a New Years day game at Fylde they played Lowestoft, an 11 hour round trip for the visitors, the odd thing about the North and South leagues is that some teams in the North league are further South than some in the South league and vice versa.

Another hard fought game with the Bulls eventually taking the honours with a Luke Haines piledriver from 25 yards in the 85th minute. This sent the 200 plus Hereford fans, in the 2200+crowd, on their way home happy.

Haines won last seasons Goal of the Season for his similar goal against Brackley so will be interesting to see if his strike last night is bettered this? Mind you it was Haines who scored the own goal on Saturday to give Scarborough the win so he owed the team one. Wink

Buxton this weekend at Edgar Street so another 3 points would be welcome.
