So the "sands of time" have finally caught up with a past well known Scotland centre forward, Ian St John, who started his great career at Motherwell, his hometown club, and then moved on to Liverpool to commence a famous career during the Shankly era at Annfield. I didn't realise he only acquired 20 Scotland caps but of course he played during a period when some great Scotland centre forwards were vying for that position. Of course he was "weel kent" in his role in the "Saint and Greavsie" tv show that covered footie topics and provided a light-hearted look at popular footie stories during that time. RIP.
