Quatar World Cup group quali draw - Scotland have a decent chance!!
#1
The full draw recently concluded in Zurich and I don't think Scottish fans can be too disappointed with this draw even though it will be tough in Group F:-

Denmark, Austria, Israel, Faeroe Islands and Moldova

The biggest "jaw dropper" has to be being drawn v Israel AGAIN????? Spooky!!!

Otherwise lotsa these fixtures are winnable for the guys and Steve Clarke may have a good number of better players to add to his squad by the time the fixtures begin.
BRING IT ON!

This group I think presents you with the best chance you have had in a while to qualify. Managing to avoid all of the bigger teams is a bonus, you could challenge for top spot in this group and certainly should be targeting top two. Never easy of course but I can't see there being a runaway leader in this group.

The big question has to be "Will we score enough goals against the 'minnows'?" Get the goals and we could qualify.
Cabbage is still good for you

Austria are a decent outfit btw, and id imagine Denmark will be too strong for us.

Faroe Islands still brings back nightmares for me...

Also don't forget that embarrassing defeat by a "flat" Scotland team in Moldova Jim

Note my OP title: .......Scotland have a decent chance! After observing the Euro 2020 performances by Austria and Denmark, I must say that view has changed dramatically - I don't think we have an earthly against Austria or Denmark if they perform to this high standard. I think we should prob be evolving this Scotland team positively towards the next World Cup tourney in Germany. It becomes more n more apparent how much of a f### up by Scotland when they were one result off a back door entry to Quatar 2022 - another massive disappointment when so close to doing it and of course celebrating too early after qualifying for Euro 2020 v Serbia when that target should've been seriously taken on.
