The club is delighted to confirm the signing of 24-year-old striker, Tony Watt, on a one-year-deal.
Tommy Wright was keen to bolster his attacking options for the season ahead and has snapped up the former Celtic man on a free transfer. Tony goes straight into the squad for the friendly match against Berwick Rangers tomorrow evening and trained with the first-team squad this morning.
He started his career at Airdrie United but is most famous for bursting onto the scene at Celtic Park, scoring a double on his debut against Motherwell before netting the winner in Celtic’s famous 2-1 victory over Barcelona.
He has been capped once at full international level for Scotland, and nine times at U21 level. He has also had spells at Lierse, Standard Liege, Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers, Hearts, and most recently OH Leuven.
