He found a system and the players responded to him and his tactics. They burnt out towards the end of the season and then the second season was inconsistent.
At Marseille, again he stuck with what he had and again the players took to him and his methods and they were superb for the first half of the season and then started to burn out in the second half and fell off the pace.
At Lille, he spent a lot of money on some quality players but they never took to him and his methods. He was sacked with them in the bottom two.
He is very meticulous so he will probably already have reports on every player in the squad. Then he will see them in action and decide what is needed. Whether Leeds will back him, we will have to wait and see.
