Man City next and Celtic's last Euro CL fixture for this season!

This should be a fairly 'open match' at The Etihad tonight but I wonder what the team line ups will be when one considers that the match is effectively a 'dead rubber' and both managers will be focused on their team's progress in their associated footie leagues. In Celtic's case they are 'walking' a crap Scottish footie league. So Rodgers could prob still opt for a fairly strong Celtic side without being too fussed about it. I suspect Guardiola will field his 'fringe players' but Aguerro will play before his 4 match domestic suspension 'kicks in'. I'll predict a draw or a narrow win for City.

Think city need to win the night and I expect them to by 3 goals.

A winning result is actually worth about €1.5M! So there is an impetus to win this game. Agreed it will be a surprise if the Hoops attain such a result based on their dreadful Euro away record in years of trying to improve things at this level.
I'm just perusing Guardiola's team list for this match and the City line up is indeed full of 2nd or 3rd string players with Clichy playing in a CB role - Celtic have a reasonable chance to attain a rare away victory!

Exciting, open game. 1-1 at halftime and that sounds about right, celtic have looked decent on the attack.

40 million man dembele misses a sitter, but city had a couple of other really good chances too.

Just saw some of craig thomsons reffing in the besiktas game there - an absolute clown of a ref.

Finished 1-1. Fairly cagey 2nd half.

Draw was prob fair, but celtic could have won it. They had some good chances and had a stonewall pk turned down. Taking points in germany and england suggests rodgers is developing his side well enough.

Yep! I watched that ridiculous pk incident when Roberts was clearly 'pulled to a standstill' in the City pen box but what surprised me most was the fact there was a triangular ref/AR view of this incident when the three ref officials each had a fairly close up view of it from a different angle - baffling that the pk claim was ignored!
