Got to disagree with you on banning the thug who is clearly seen trying to assault Foderingham. If he is positively identified he should be sent to prison for a lengthy spell.
Punishing the club is no good,it will not stop the unsavoury element of our or any other club from going looking for trouble. The only people who suffer are the club and its supporters whereas the only people who do not suffer are the thugs themselves.
No club can claim the moral high ground on this, Celtic,Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts, Kilmarnock and even Rangers have an element that spoil it for the good supporters attached to these clubs.
Larry-AV,
Quite a statement from Fraser Wishart but one which could open up a huge can of worms. Whilst I agree that there should never be any crowd invasion of the players "work place" once he starts mentioning Health and safety at work he creates a problem.
Going by current rules 50,000 people would never be allowed anywhere near that work place so is he stating that crowds should be cut accordingly to a number the Police are confident of handling or should Police numbers be increased to safely handle the 50,000 crowd?
To ensure total safety we could see future Scottish cup finals being played in front of 8 or 10,000 punters.
Agree with you on that Wattie. I only said ban but as I said in a later statement it should not only be dealt with by sporting authorities but also criminal ones as well.
All clubs have an unsavoury element .
