The thing to remember, SCO, is that Mixed Doubles is a different type of game to the normal Championship style and big-hitting teams find it hard to adjust. Canada have won Silver on 2 occasions, but the United States win is the first from a North American team since the first event in 2008.

And you're right in that this is the first United States World win since 2003, whereas Canada have won something just about every year although their Men and Women have underperformed in the last 5 years.
